Welcome and thank you for visiting my site. I’m a commercial photographer with a talent for discovering the best in people and their businesses and creating vibrant, captivating images to reflect this.
What do I do?
I joyfully create photographs of people, dogs, products and events to bring you pleasure. But, let me explain my approach.
First I do my best to understand you, your brand, and what you want your imagery to achieve. Then I use my intuition and marketing hat to conceptualise ideas that will work hard for you and your business.
Photography isn’t a singular art - there are always at least two people involved - sometimes more - and I love the creative experience of working together assembling digital dots and that “ahhh” feeling when we know it’s a keeper.
Based in Hertfordshire, close to my clients in London, I am mobile and bring my studio to you to so I can showcase your business and people.
Why do I do it?
Photography (looking for the best in people and places) is such a positive process: photographs captivate, evoke emotion, make people feel good, stimulate memories, showcase brands, tell stories and encourage connections.
I discovered photography when I was 40-something and it was as if someone had switched on my light. I fell in love. I knew intuitively, without any doubt, that this is all I wanted to do.
I keep doing it for the intense pleasure I feel when exercising my creative muscle, seeing how people respond to my work, and knowing it is treasured in homes and workplaces. I can’t help but feel alive - my best self - when I’m holding my camera. How lucky am I?
What my brand stands for (or who am I?)
I’m a lover of wind, deserted beaches, bottomless cups of hot tea, my children, lots of interesting human beings who laugh a lot (especially at my jokes), reading real books (although I rarely make time for this), cats & dogs and, of course, my camera.
Softhearted and honest, I am gifted with a very noisy intuition I follow to make your experience positive. Ideas and solutions are always flowing, maybe a sort-of-Sherlock-Holmes of photography… I notice the obvious, then take time to observe and frame the less obvious…
I want to give you and your business a way to express and celebrate yourself, forget conformity and sameness, and just revel in showing up.
A camera gives one freedom to play and experiment and sessions are always fun. I absolutely love connecting with people and often feel I’m dreaming my life.
